Beautiful Gothic Victorian semi-detached, 4 storey house in a conservation area in Cliftonwood. This sash window replacement project included 27 original window replacements.
This beautiful property had 27 original sashes windows replaced with bespoke Accoya double glazed sashes. These very unusual and Gothic stylised sash windows were expertly templated and recreated using CNC tooling to manufacture exact replicas.
As displayed in the image, the property has retained the very special features of these sash windows. The different styles of windows in each room, including unique petal shaped Gothic arched windows, exactly match the originals but they are all double glazed with argon filled double glazed units with a U-value of 1.6. The windows are now draught proof and fitted into the original sash boxes. We also repaired and renovated the boxes themselves. including decorating all new bespoke Accoya sills.
Despite the extensive sash window replacement in this property, the external original masonry has remained intact. The recently newly decorated interior of the house is also undisturbed. This stunning property now has energy efficient windows whilst retaining its exceptionally beautiful period sash windows.
